SAFETY FIRST!
On
Thursday, October 2nd, Senior Office, Troy Young, from
the Garner Police Department spoke to Aversboro walkers
and bike riders about following safety rules. He discussed the importance
of paying attention to danger signs when walking and riding bikes and
scooters. Officer Young also spoke about the benefits of properly wearing
a helmet and pads when riding wheeled vehicles. He also discussed the
dangers of "Tricky People"
who try to take kids from their families and hurt them. If a child ever
feels uncomfortable, he or she should tell a trusted
adult as soon as possible.
